The scheme comprised the refurbishment of an existing disused dutch barn to provide a new design studio. The works involved the retention of the existing main brickwork columns and part of the roof structure which were made good and repaired as necessary. The remainder of the building was completely new throughout. A new concrete slab was cast and mezzanine floor formed. The external envelope was formed using a combination of structural glazing, timber cladding and brickwork walls. Internally the finishes were of high quality with oak timber work and high quality internal fixtures and fittings.
