Moody Construction
A family owned and run building contractors, Moody Construction have always served the Yorkshire, Richmondshire, Cleveland and South Durham community from our base in Northallerton. Our construction Director, James Moody, is the third generation of Moodys to run the business following its founding over 100 years ago in 1921.
Offering time served experience with modern construction methods has been our tradition. From the building of Guisborough Police Station in 1927, to the dwellings and schools in Thirsk and Northallerton in the 1950s up to the current day, our clients have remained loyal and are still working with us on current projects.
We continue to work for the Education Authority, extending and altering schools, County Councils and we construct many “affordable” homes for Housing Associations. Our private residences are renowned for their quality, luxury and design. We have won commendations for our ecclesiastical work and sympathetic restoration of our heritage buildings.
For over 100 years our clients have continued to come back to us to negotiate, partner, and work together to create quality projects that we can be proud of.

OUR PEOPLE
Our quality culture stems directly from our people. We are proud of their achievements and continue to support training, developing young people and retaining the highest calibre of staff. Many of the team have given us years of service, often from apprenticeship to retirement. Our Construction Director, James Moody, represents the third generation to manage the business and has worked for over 30 years in the company.
Our Senior Contracts Managers, David Trenholme and Richard Connor, share together over 50 years of service to the business, each bringing a lifetime career of construction experience to their roles. Every employee has given long service and exceptional commitment to the company.
Our apprentices and trainees are highly valued by us, and we are delighted that they so often choose to stay with us on completion of their training. We provide exceptional work experience that complements their college courses. We are proud that our apprentices strive to excel.
