This project was one to refurbish and re-configure Beyond Housing’s existing works depot to incorporate their main materials supplier and to provide storage and training areas along with enhanced office accommodation.
The existing building envelope was transformed by re-roofing, providing new cladding to elevations, new doors and windows along with brickwork repairs.
Internally the workshop space was sub-divided to provide separate areas for Beyond Housing’s materials supplier and an area for Beyond Housing’s storage/training, a new mezzanine floor provided additional open and lockable storage, whilst the existing office space was re-configured to provide a training room, tool charging room, storage, toilets, cleaners facilities, a shared canteen and new office space.
Associated external works including reconfiguration of the parking area including new EV charging, dedicated walkways, a one way system around the building to the new concrete service yard at the rear of the depot. New fencing and gates were also provided to suit the new access and egress regime along with the provision of a new cycle shelter.
The drainage was re-configured to suit the new accommodation layout with storm water attenuation added.
