RIPON RACECOURSE – NEW WEIGHING ROOM
Client – The Ripon Race Company Limited
The works comprised the complete refurbishment and extension of the existing weighing room at Ripon Racecourse.
A brick built slate roof single storey extension was erected to improve and expand the jockey’s changing facilities by providing additional space for new showers/toilets and to enhance/extend the changing room areas and provide additional space and individual changing cubicles. The existing building was completely refurbished and re-organised to provide the following:-
- Valets Area
- Weighing In/Out Area
- Stewards Room
- Physio’s Room
- Medical Room
- Jockeys Warm Up Area
- Jockey’s Rest Area
- Laundry/Drying Room
- Broadcast Suite
Externally there was new paving, ramps and stair access along with associated drainage for the new facilities.
