The works comprised the construction of two flat roof, partial steel framed buildings with timber SFS panels to provide new paddock entrance buildings and replace the old entrance turnstiles.
The buildings were constructed using insulted panelised timber structures which were constructed offsite in Moody Construction’s joiners shop. The roof covering was a single ply membrane system with anthracite coloured aluminium trims and flashings. The external façade was clad with Norcald timber cladding and the sliding door entrances and windows were anthracite coloured to match the roof trims.
The East entrance building was the smaller of the two buildings and housed a central ticket desk and two side ticket desks with a small amount of cupboard storage.
The larger West entrance building not only housed similar ticket desk facilities but also provided two large female toilets with 9 cubicle in each, two Male toilets with 8 urinals and 4 cubicles in each. In addition there were two separate disabled wc’s, cleaner’s facility, first aid room and plantroom.
External works included alterations to existing drainage to suit the additional toilets along with resin bound gravel paths to both entrance buildings and some soft landscaping works.
