THIRSK RACECOURSE OWNERS AND TRAINERS FACILITY
Client – Thirsk Racecourse Limited
The works comprised the erection of a new two storey Owners and Trainers facility. The building is a steel framed structure over two floors on traditional pad and ground beam foundations. The envelope being a combination of brickwork and curtain walling. The flat roof over the ground floor forms a roof terrace and viewing area including a tensile fabric canopy. The ground floor accommodation comprises a large open area to be used for bar/dining/conferences, entrance lobby, lift, stairs, kitchen, bar and toilets, whilst the small first floor houses a plantroom, roof terrace lobby and bar to serve the roof terrace.
External works comprise the provision of new perimeter walkways and pavings, together with associated drainage and services connections.
