CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER / PROJECT QS

Moody Construction are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Project Manager / Project QS to join its extensive team.

Reporting to the Construction Director the successful candidate will manage the end to end project process, technically and financially reviewing and assessing and integrating all products, processes, supplies and suppliers to gain commercially viable solutions and practices to maximise productivity and profits.

It is essential that the candidate has extensive experience of negotiating and procurement with sub-contractors / suppliers in the construction industry to ensure the supply chain runs with optimal efficiencies.

It is also essential that the candidate has extensive experience of liaising with the Client team both at a technical level with Architects, Engineers, Clerks of Works and the like, and at a financial level with Client Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors. The candidate must be able to prepare Valuations and Schedules and Cost Variations.

The candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, project planning and monitoring (experience of a Construction Planning software package is beneficial but not essential).

The candidate must also have experience in Health & Safety to allow them to oversee the safe completion of all projects. Experience should include the preparation of Pre-Construction plans, preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements and all site monitoring accordingly, and the collation of information for and the preparation of Health & Safety files and Operations & Handover manuals upon Project completion.

The candidate must be commercially aware, possess strong decision and organisational skills while communicating with all levels of the business.
