Moody Construction Ltd have recently completed a new housing scheme in Guisborough for Beyond Housing.
The works were split onto two sites one on Woodhouse Road and the other on Park Lane. The Woodhouse Road site comprising the erection of four new bungalows and the refurbishment of an existing building to provide three new apartments.
Work on the Park Lane site comprised the construction of 10 supported living apartments and 10 general needs dwellings on the site of former Luke Senior Hospital site.
Established in 2018 Beyond Housing is the amalgamation of Coast and Country and Yorkshire Coast Homes Housing Associations. They provide 15,000 homes and a wide range of services to over 30,000 customers living in the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire. Being one of the largest housing organisations in the north east region Beyond Housing are ambitious about achieving their purpose of helping their customers and communities to succeed and thrive. The scheme was assisted by Homes England funding and will provide much needed accommodation in the area for tenants with various needs and requirements.
The Moody Construction team developed the scheme on a Design and Build basis in conjunction with BSBA Architects from Darlington and Portland Consulting Engineers who provided civil and structural engineering design. The Employers Agent for the scheme was the Lumsdon Wood Partnership who also carried out Principal Designer and Quantity Surveying Services for the Client.
