The new Owners and Trainers facility at Catterick racecourse opened for use during the busy Christmas and New Year programme.
The new new building is a steel framed structure over two floors on traditional pad and ground beam foundations. The envelope being a combination of brickwork, curtain walling and larch cladding. The pitched roof is clad with copper and forms a breathtaking feature to the building. The internal accommodation comprises a large open areas to be used for bar/dining/conferences, entrance lobby, lift, stairs, kitchen, bars and viewing areas over both the parade ring and winners enclosure as well and the course and finishing line.
There may be nothing to see from Albert Road but behind the cloak of the wrapped scaffolding work is progressing at pace on the Exchange Place building.
