We have been appointed to carry out the construction of the new Owners and Trainers facility at Catterick Racecourse. The new building designed by Elliott Architects of Corbridge and Griffen Design Structural Engineers commenced in January 2020. The scheme which will be overseen by Project Management Scotland Limited will provide new facilities for racehorse owners and trainers.
The new building will be situated on the site of the former Tote building and will offer excellent views over both the parade ring and finish line. The facade of the new facility will combine white brick with larch cladding, frameless glass balustrading and copper roof. The ground floor will offer a large entrance area with an oak clad staircase and lift to the first floor. A large bar and lounge area, wc’s, kitchen cellar/cold rooms and Tote will also be accommodated on the ground floor. The first floor will house a restaurant with viewing balcony over the course and picture windows overlooking the parade ring, a winning owners room, bar, kitchen and wc’s.
