Residential

We have been involved in residential developments for many years. The post-war years of the 1950s and 60s saw the Company grow considerably as Contracts were secured to build hundreds of council houses in Northallerton, Thirsk, Bedale and surrounding areas. We continued building public housing for local councils into the 1970s and 80s and more recently for housing associations and registered social landlords.

Moody Construction have also carried out numerous refurbishment and modernisation programmes and schemes. As stock was transferred from council owned to ALMOS and RSLs, the emphasis turned to improvement and refurbishment of existing housing stock. We have undertaken many modernisation schemes to ensure the housing stock meets current standards, involving replacement of bathrooms and kitchens, together with rewiring and installing modern central heating to hundreds of properties across the region.

In addition to the work in the affordable sector of the residential market we have also carried out numerous schemes in the private sector. From individual one-off bespoke new build houses to the completion of a large housing estate for the private development arm of one of our RSL clients.

We have also provided family homes and apartments by carrying out extensions and conversations to existing buildings, listed buildings and barn conversions using both contemporary and traditional materials.

Moody Construction also carry out our own developments for sale and rent.
